NEWS FLASH-GMA APPOINTS A PRO.
The National Executive Council has appointed Mr. Kwame Okyere to the position of part-time Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Medical Association.

Mr. Okyere will be responsible for assisting the GMA build a good corporate image and in addressing media relations issues. He has wide-ranging experience in the field of public relations with Excel Courier Gh. LTD, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Tema, Multi Media Gh. LTD and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.

Mr. Kwame Okyere is a graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism

 

NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL FOR THE GHANA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE PERIOD 2005-2007

This is to inform you that the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) at the close of its 47 th Annual General Meeting held at the Catholic University, Sunyani elected new National Executive Council for a two (2) year term to steer the affairs of the Association for the period 2005– 2007.

Dr. Francis Adu-Ababio who is a Lecturer at the University of Ghana Dental School, Korle-Bu was elected the new PRESIDENT.
 
Other members elected onto the new Council are as follows:

Dr. Kofi Asare     -VICE PRESIDENT (Regional Director of Health Services, Ashanti Region)

Dr. Kwabena Opoku-Adusei   -GENERAL SECRETARY (Medical Superintendent, Suntresi Government Hospital, Kumasi )
Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey     -ASSISTANT GENERAL SECRETARY (St. Anthony Hospital, Dodze, Volta Region) 
Dr. Rhoda Manu     -TREASURER (Maamobi Polyclinic, Accra)
  Dr. Miriana Taylor     -NATIONAL EXECUTIVE MEMBER (Central Hospital, Koforidua, Eastern Region)
  Dr. Boateng Boakye   -NATIONAL EXECUTIVE MEMBER (Medical Superintendent, Axim Government Hospital, Western Region)     

Professor Yaw Adu-Gyamfi becomes the new Immediate Past President and a member of the National Executive Council.
